New Barn

Our horse Chase has been put in training. No more carefree lounging around, it’s time for him to shape up! He’s pretty rusty in a lot things and needs refreshing. My mother is also taking lessons with the trainer. Above is a photo of my mother during a lesson with one of the trainer’s horses. I could use some refresher lessons myself as I haven’t ridden or worked with a horse in 6 or 7 years (how does time go by so fast??). Regarding photography I’m glad to have a new place to take photos at. Lately I’ve been at a loss as to what to shoot and this barn makes for a nice change of setting.

Chase (right) with his new neighbor. They seem to get along for the most part, but I did see him bite her. I guess they’re still getting to know each other.

March Photo Round Up

20200320-063A7675-edit

I think we can all agree March sucked. The whole world was cancelled and we’re all basically on lockdown. Obviously these are necessary measures to take in order to save lives, but it’s still difficult to process. I’m so sad I won’t be able to go to another game at PK Park before I move or to any other Oregon sports event.

But at least I live in a rural area and can be outside as much as I want without posing a health risk. This has motivated me to focus on nature photography. In times like these nature is a nice reminder that no matter how much society grinds to a halt the natural world keeps going on as normal. Winter is changing into spring, flowers are blooming, animals are out and about. Eventually things will get back normal in our world too.
